Bryan L. Abercrombie has extensive experience in domestic relations matters including trial, jury trial, appellate and collaborative law.
Bryan L. Abercrombie has been licensed to practice law for over 20 years and had handled a variety of legal matters during that time. This includes family, civil, appellate, business, probate and other cases. He has extensive experience is all aspects of domestic relations matters from inception to appeal to post judgment including trial, jury trial, mediation, appellate and other matters.
Prior to finishing law school, Bryan worked as a Compliance Manager for Laidlaw, Inc., which was one of the nation’s largest ambulance, school bus transportation and physician practice management companies in the United States. He worked as a trainer, auditor and manager for two years but ultimately left to complete his Juris Doctor.
Bryan’s first job practicing law after graduation was working for one of the most respected retired probate Judges in Dallas County. He cut his teeth on a variety of cases including family, civil and probate. He was also involved in business transactional work and litigation for a variety of business clients.
As he gained experience, he began to focus more on family law and cases involving families including divorce and custody matters, adoptions and probate matters. In 2008, he passed the Texas Board Certification exam in the area of family law.
Prior to co-founding the firm with Samuel Sanchez in 2019, Bryan worked for Cordell & Cordell, P.C. in Fort Worth, Dallas, Houston and the Woodlands, Texas. He successfully opened three offices for the firm and managed the startup of offices with attorneys in multiple states including Texas, California, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi and South Carolina. He was named a partner at the firm in 2014 and served as a litigation partner until 2019 when he and Mr. Sanchez began their practice. They felt they could better serve their clients and provide more personalized service in a smaller, less corporate setting. Additionally, they wanted to expand their practice outside of domestic relations.
Since founding the firm in 2019, they have helped more than one hundred clients in numerous areas principally focused in family, business and probate. He has handled family cases with assets over 10 million of dollars, represented clients in appellate matters before the Court of Appeals in multiple jurisdictions and three additional matters before the Texas Supreme Court. He successfully represented a client in the sale of a business worth over 10 million dollars. This included all aspects of the sale negotiation and due diligence process.
Additionally, Mr. Abercrombie was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court in 2021.
Mr. Abercrombie is licensed in Texas and Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Texas at Arlington; Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law, where he was active in the Moot Court Honors Program.
While in law school, Mr. Abercrombie served as a Corporate Compliance Manager for Laidlaw Inc
Mr. Abercrombie appeared on Great Day Houston to discuss a pending lawsuit against NFL running back Arian Foster alleging Foster tried to strong-arm his mistress into aborting their unborn child.
He also appeared on Houston Real Estate Radio on KPRG AM 950 to discuss how real estate is treated in divorce situations and other types of family law.

Bryan is married to his college sweetheart, Christy, and they have two children that were adopted through the foster care system. Bryan and his wife are both passionate about helping children who are less fortunate and come from less than ideal situations.
While living in Grand Prairie, they saw firsthand the needs in their local community through Christy’s volunteer work at Jonathan’s Place. It was during this time that they felt the calling to adopt. After 18 months or so, they brought home their son from Jonathan’s Place. After moving to Houston, they once again felt the calling to offer a home to a child in need. They brought home their daughter from the DePelchin Children Center in 2015. Both Bryan and his wife continue to pursue their passion of helping children in need. They find great joy in volunteering at the Love Fosters Hope Organization in Montgomery County.
Prior to moving to Montgomery County, Mr. Abercrombie volunteered at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. He serves as the counsel for the House Corporation for Sigma Chi Fraternity at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Bryan and his wife are members of the Woodlands United Methodist Church and are active in their children’s activities including soccer and baseball.
Bryan is an avid reader, passionate cyclist, and enthusiast of American history. He has been an invited guest speaker at the Arlington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution on several occasions.
